July 4th – Independence Day at the Beach! Jun 26

All of you headed down to Gulf Shores for the July 4th holiday, here are a couple of informational links.  I know you are going to have fun at the beach and in the sun.  But of course you want to take in the fun of our Independence Day as well.

Gulf Shores Annual Fireworks Extravaganza! July 4, 2008. Free to public.
9:00 p.m. Visible from any Gulf Shores area beach. Tune your radio to Sunny 105.7 for current fireworks information and simultaneous patriotic music during the show. Rain date July 5th.

Fort Morgan’s Salute to American Independence. July 4, 2008.
Price: $5 adults, $3 children 6-12, free to younger children. All scheduled events are included in the price of admission. 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Interpreters dressed in uniforms from various periods of Fort Morgan’s history will offer guided tours and firing demonstrations throughout the day. A Civil War cannon will also be fired in honor of our nation’s birthday. There will NOT be a fireworks display.
